CARRIE LOVE
turned 30 years old!!
there was dinner party for her in our back yard.
and oh, was it dreamy…

emily and i were put in charge of the decorations
and party favors.
you can only imagine how much fun we had!
blueberries and hydrangeas…did you know that i
love hydrangeas?
each guest left with a jar of blueberry cobbler
to remember carrie’s happy celebration.
the backyard hummed with conversation and
glowed with friendship and joy…oh, and the
innumerable twinkle lights also helped with the
warm glow of the evening.
we had carrie’s favorite mixed drink: whiskey sours.
they are delicious!

dear merritt made much of the yummy food.
carrie’s sister who is a baker and an
AMAZING cook came to town for the party
and blessed us with some tasty treats including
the chocolate layer birthday cake with a
delicious gooey filling. hard to describe, but
perfectly understandable to the taste buds.

it’s kind of funny how this works for her…
the sillier she gets, the better the picture!
this is her sister, abby handing off the cake to her
husband, david. you should have seen carrie’s
happy face! it was beautifully aglow from the candles
as we sang happy birthday.
then the toasting began. we each shared a toast;
a memory we have with c. love, a favorite virtue
of hers…something. it was a sweet and special time
to share with carrie and several others that love her too.
at the end of the party i had to take a rest in the
hammock. it was the perfect ending to the
perfect birthday party.
