yesterday afternoon mikey and i
had a tee time of 2pm.
we are both not so good at this
game yet. we have a few things
to learn, but had a blast!
it took us 2 hr and 45 min to play
9 holes. good thing we decided to
drive instead of walk.
i’m not so good at driving the ball
very far, so my long game was
pretty embarrassing. i had two
strokes for mike’s one on the
fairway. i can hold my own when
putting and chipping, so that is
what kept me above water. well,
that’s not entirely true seeing that
mikey beat me by 20 strokes.
on the 2nd hole we ran into a pack
of baby wild boar. three little guys
…maybe they were preteen boars,
they seemed pretty ornery. on
our way to the third hole they
started running after our cart. i
yelled at mikey who was driving,
“go! put the pedal to the metal, lunchbox!”
as we turned on the path they kept
going straight into the bush/woods.
it was so funny.
and chickens… the wild chickens are always up
in people’s business!!
i only lost one ball. we didn’t follow
all the rules very well, but we did
have a wonderful afternoon. it was my
first time to play a game and keep
score and do it up half right.
i really am bad, and had to keep
reminding myself that i can only
get better. i think i will stick to this
thing.
it was warm and beautiful!
the back half of the course is tucked
into the mountains. yesterday
the clouds moved up and down the side
of the mountains. it was stunning! i
think this is my favorite part of golf…
the scenery! of course the cute golf
skirts and shoes are my real favorite,
but that is a given, right?
washing the ball was a true highlight for me.

now for those of you with weak stomachs,
or those of you who know anything about
golf or care anything about golf, you might
want to look away, or skip this last picture
altogether. it’s our score card: a shame.
